Cat Cartoon

Whether you are a cat fan or not, most people will agree that cat cartoons are hilarious. There are many famous cartoon cats for you to love like Garfield (and don’t forget Nermal “the world’s cutest kitten” and Garfield’s girlfriend, Arlene!), Sylvester, Bill the Cat, Tony the Tiger, and Mr. Jinx. Cartoon animals and cat cartoons are loved by kids and adults alike. A cartoon cat may play a starring role or they may have one of the supporting roles in a show but either way they bring a lot of comedic relief. They have many characteristics and have their own personalities, just like real live cats.

A classic, old school cartoon cat is Felix the Cat. He’s been around since the 1920’s and can be found all over the internet, even if you don’t see him on television much anymore.

Simba, from the Disney movie, The Lion King, is a favorite cartoon kitten. His playfulness and curiosity so typical of most kittens made everyone love him. Other cartoon kittens mimic real life kittens and their zeal for playing and their likelihood to finding trouble. No wonder people find a kitten cartoon irresistible.

True cartoon lovers might remember the Top Cat cartoon from Hanna-Barbera. This cartoon ran for only 30 episodes in 1961 and 1962.

There are many cute cat cartoons that have been popular over the years or have shown up in newspaper comics. Just as many cartoons have featured supporting role cats. Cartoon strips like Calvin and Hobbes feature supporting role cats. Without Hobbes, Calvin might still be fun but not nearly as funny as he is when he is with him.

We can’t forget the cartoon black cat. There have been many cartoon black cats that have been the main show and have been supporting characters. Snowball from the Simpsons, Lucifer from the Disney movie, Cinderella, and Figaro from Disney’s Pinocchio all provided us with comic relief and support for their main characters.

Cartoon cats and dogs are known for their loving support of their owners (usually) and their entertainment value. They make us laugh and sometimes they make us cry but they always make us love them – even when their a little bit bad, just like real cats. If you love cartoon cats you’ll find many collectibles to display. Cat cartoon calendars, posters, mugs, magnets, and even clothing can help you show others your love for the wonderful cartoon cat.
